My friend sent me a video and I went to youtube to search for this video which I thought would like to share with you. It's touching. I believe all of us are blessed with a special gift in one way or another. That also reminds me of what L said in the last Death Note movie "No matter how gifted, you alone cannot change the world".
Recently there was a news report on her on CNA. Have extracted the article below:
"SINGAPORE: Preschoolers at a childhood education centre in Singapore were treated to a recital by visually impaired South Korean piano prodigy Yoo Ye Eun on Thursday.
The prodigy, who has never had formal piano lessons, is in Singapore at the invitation of the Young Women Muslim Association.
Six-year-old Ye Eun can play any tune after hearing it just once and she showed that talent by reproducing the folk song "Rasa Sayang" for her audience in Singapore after hearing it for the first time.
Born blind and adopted in July 2002, Ye Eun's talent went unnoticed until she was three years old.
One day, she heard her foster mother sing a popular song which she reproduced on the piano. After appearing on YouTube and the Korean TV show "Star King", Ye Eun quickly shot to stardom.
Her parents are now looking for a suitable teacher for the prodigy, in the hope that she would become an accomplished pianist someday.
Ye Eun will perform for Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Young Women Muslim Association's 55th anniversary celebrations on July 4 before heading home the next day."
