Rainbows

Photobucket

I can see a HUGE rainbow today!

Just as I stepped out of from the igloo-temp office, I saw a long arching rainbow right above.
Uncle Tan said he could see that even in Marina. I guess it should be the same huge rainbow that we were both looking at.

Well, we all have seen rainbows somehow in some parts of our lives. It's always a beautiful sight and somehow evokes that awe in us despite knowing how rainbows are formed. It's something beautiful, it's something that you don't see often...and it's something that doesn't last for long.

After a day of hard work, the load is
somehow taken off looking at this beautiful thing. Sometimes it's good to look up when things are looking down and gloomy.

Even little Joelle is keen to take a snap shot of this beautiful sight :)

A few rainbow songs somehow came into my mind as I admired the sight whilst walking home - The Rainbow Connection, I Can Sing a Rainbow and Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

I recall using the initials of the colours to form a cheeky phrase to help me remember the colours of the rainbow. I shan't share it here in case I get rated comments in my cbox again ;p

Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet

The Rainbow Connection
Why are there so many
Songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side
Rainbow's are visions
They're only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we've been told and some chose to
Believe it
But I know they're wrong wait and see

Someday we'll find it
The Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
And look what it's done so far
What's so amazing
That keeps us star gazing
What so we think we might see

Someday we'll find it
That Rainbow Connection
The lovers the dreamers and me

Have you been half asleep
And have you heard voices
I've heard them calling my name
Are these the sweet sounds that called
The young sailors
I think they're one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
There's something that I'm supposed to be

Someday we'll find it
The Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me
