The laundry room is located at the basement, so even in the day, it still looks quite dark. The Swiss are ingenious in having a lighting system at the lift area where once you turn the light on, it will stay on for about 5-7 mins before it goes off by itself. So you won't have to feel your way back or waste electricity by leaving the lights on after you're done with your laundry.
A total of 3 trips are required - one to put the clothes in the washing machine to wach; two to transfer the washed clothes to the heater; and finally to collect them when done. The area does not have a heater, so each time we had to put on our jacket when we go down. The chilliness makes the place even spookier ;p
There are 2 washing machines and one dryer. The instructions are all in German. So we had to take pics of the washing machine and come back to do a google translation to know what exactly it means. Still, not all the words are 'translatable'. So everything is done is done in 'argaration' ;) Takes about over 2 hours to get the whole process done as the dryer takes a pretty long time to dry the clothes.
This is one of the rare occasions you'll see me ironing his clothes ;p That's why he took down this precious shot hehe ;p I'm no good at ironing so I leave it to the expert to do it since I had burnt holes in my clothes before...
